new speakers off of stock stereo

If you can afford it, buy two amps. a 2 or four channel for the speakers and one for your sub. If you can't, then buy a single sub amp and save up for a separate amp for your speakers later.

yeah, 2 channel for speakers and 1 for sub seems like its more affordable than a 3 channel

yeah i think its better to have two seperate amps, it gives you more flexability to what you can do with a system. and if you buy things off amazon it will save you some money you can get a pretty decent sub and amp combo for about 300 like high end stuff none of that cheap dual crap. but personally i dont see a reason to amp your door speakers, you can it makes it louder but for our small trucks an after market hu and speakers fill it up pretty darn good.

well a 2 channel amp is like 40$.....its not much, but i could drop the price to below 300 if i dont buy it. Both door speakers will be getting 22watts rms from the HU, so would the sub (getting around 150 - 200watts) overpower the speakers?

and i stayed away from dual for everything, after hearing about their quality issues.

as far as the tweeters, could i run them off of the door speaker wires?

I also looked through to find what else I would need to finish everything. According to this wiring diagram ill need a few more things:

Fuse (between the battery and Block)
Distribution Block
Capacitor for the sub amp (also necessary?)
Equalizer
and maybe a relay and some cooling fans (might need them considering the small size of the cab)
As well as the wiring for everything

I'm basing it off of this diagram for a stereo system
(scroll down a bit)

How much of this is necessary?

Ill probably also need a new battery (been wanting to replace it anyway)

Do not get a capacitor, you'll be wasting your money in my opinion.
An equalizer isn't necessary but will help you eq your system a lot faster between different types of music.
