ok this is an odd one on me. i have a 92 2.3 2wd ranger, had a bottoming/body roll issue. look at the shocks, they are bottomed/blown and the cheapest gabriels autozoo has to offer. i had redone my brakes/front wheel bearings in the past due to camber issue and the tires had correct camber. i go to autozoo and purchase the gabrial ultras (did wonders on my 4wd 3.0 ranger, stiff but effective). i install them and notice the jack and bumpers seem a little lower than when i started to jack the truck up to install them. figured it was just me and my eyes and went and did the front. crawled under the truck to look at the driveshaft for slack (had just rebuilt the rear end wanted to check the pinion wear) and noticed it was tighter than usual as well. the shocks upon inspection were not blown or busted they are riding where they should be, but i measured and my truck sits 2 inches lower than before...this doesnt bother me but one thing about it does. the body roll at 60mph isnt as bad as before but still noticable, and my front wheels have a negative camber now. id rather not eat up my front tires on the inside, and talked to autozoo and naturally they have never heard of this problem, would taller springs help me out? looking to stiffen the front end anyway to stabilize the truck as i like to corner hard but the camber needs to be fixed for my tires. just wanted to kno if you guys would recommend a leveling coil spring to straighten up the front wheels. thx for all replies.

You could just get some new camber cams to adjust your camber. But if you are looking to level it out I guess you could get some leveling springs. You still would have to get the camber cams though to get your truck aligned.

i dont think so the 2wd shocks are longer than the old shocks, its puzzling to me entirely. ill simply look into the camber adjusters and go with it, i appreciate the info guys! this tib thing is wierd to me i work on atvs with independant front suspension, its easy to fix.

they give you the right part? i've been given wrong parts several times....mainly at pep boys though

trust me throws me off too, if i had pictures i would show you. the new shocks are 2 inches longer than the old shocks, and the old shocks rode with about an inch on the rods showing, the new ones have about 4-5 inches of the rods showing, but the camber is way off (looks like about 30 degrees off at the top of the tires) compared to straight up and down almost with the old shocks. if makes no dam sense, even with the previous owner putting spring wedges in the front. about to go order me some front leveling coils and adjustable camber bushings and see if i can line it back up. only reason i want the leveling coils is to try and help reduce body roll in town. unless somebody knows where there are some stiffer springs? would do a spring tower brace too but i dont think one is available much less how you would go about installing it.
