I just bolted on two new Superlift 85150 shocks, and the damn bushings keep popping out. There is about 1/2 inch gap between the mount and the shock eye after I bolt the shock in. Anyone have any ideas on how to fill the gap so the bushings stay in the shock eye? :icon_confused:

The washers are on the outside. If I put them on the inside, they would just dangle and support nothing. I'll post a few pictures when I get home. These shocks are for my year of ranger.

wow. i've never had that problem. all the shocks i've out on fit very snug in the mounts. if you have some old shock bushings (poly, not rubber) laying around, i'd split them and slide one half on each side of your new one. that's about the best answer i can think of at the moment. good luck with that.

i'm still thinking they screwed up the part numbers and sold you the wrong ones.

The shocks are spot on. It turns out that they gave me the wrong bushings.
Superlift declined sending me the correct bushings, even after I told them I would pay for them. So Superlift will never get any of my money in the future.

i knew something had to be wrong with those. perhaps Superlift is getting to big for their own britches? i've bought from them years ago, but doubt if i'll be using them any time soon now. try splitting old poly bushings if you have any. i'm thinking that should work for you.

I finally got fed up with it and went to my local off road shop. I picked up four hourglass poly bushings for eight bucks! Installed them in less than twenty minutes.

Thanks for the help strvger.

The Superlift 85150 shocks are great. For $30 a shock I'm very pleased.

Top tip: If you order some Superlift's, make sure you toss out the bushings they supply you with and get yourself a set of poly hourglass bushings.

I'll put up a few pics of the fixed problem, tomorrow.
