Wanting 15inch tires on my 89 2wd...I have 14 inch rims and tires atm...Can I put 15inch tires on 14 inch rims?Or do I need to get 15 inch rims and if so would they bolt up with no issues?

a tire made for a 15 inch rim will not work on a 14 inch rim.
you will need to get tires made for a 14 inch rim.

or if youre dead set on 15 inches. get 15 inch rims and tires to match.

they have to be the same or it just wont work. its like trying to fit a 65 inch wide bookshelf into a 60 inch wide nook. it just doesnt work.

Actually, it's more like trying to hang a 60" wide shelf in a 65" wide case. It will fit. It will fit in real easy. It will also fall out real nicely.

maybe you can try the vacuum seal method to make the 15" tires fit onto the 14" wheels
