New Ranger!!

so, i just put the down payment on my third ranger! i'm going down to tampa to pick it up this coming thursday and you have no idea how excited i am

here are some pics from the dealer's website. it's a 1998 XLT, 4.0 OHV 4x4, supercab. i've got some plans already for it, starting with putting my toolbox, cb, and stereo into it as soon as i can.

i'm also gonna paint the fender flares gloss black just for some contrast, but what should i do with the grill? i'm not a fan of chrome so should i go body color or black with it? input would be greatly appreciated

by the way, i'm holding onto my old '97 two-digger to build it up

Why remove the chrome? It don't get you home but it sure do look purdy.

Get some good Headlights and taillights and make that thing pop!

Always able to find aftermarket grilles. Or maybe get a brush guard thats black to hide some chrome? Dunno man, your truck, but looks hella nice!

beautiful truck btw! here are my suggestions:

-New heasdlights and fogs (muddy water in fogs)
-06+ Tails
-06+ mirrors
-Remove ugly pinstriping
-replace tan carpet with factory vinyl flooring
-15x8 MT Classic IIs
-32x11.50 BFGs
-Diamondplate toolbox

just a few of my suggestions. i think the mirrors, lights and pinstriping would be the first things i would do

good suggestions lol i've already got the toolbox from my old truck that i'm putting in the new one. plus, i've already been looking on ebay for some crystal clear headlamps. and the pinstriping's days are shortly numbered

yeah, i'm thoroughly disgusted with the tires and wheels on this truck. which is why i'll be out in the shop thursday night swapping my black jeep wheels and 31's onto the new truck. that'll automatically give it at least another inch of height and some styling points

EDIT: i'm glad you're not mad at me for switching from the 4x2 to the 4x4 team, honduras

lmao good. but like i said, i'm holding onto the '97. i'm not sure if i'm gonna try to sas it or maybe a race build, i've got plenty of time to figure it out though.

i pick up the truck thursday afternoon and as soon as i get home, i'll get to work on swapping the wheels and tires, i'll have pics up either thursday night or friday morning at the latest.

my buddy's got on old '98 ranger with 15" pacer rims on it, but it's got a blown motor so he's gonna give me his wheels which will stick my tires out another two inches so it will look even better. i plan on getting the fender flares painted tomorrow.
