welcome! looks to be a nice project. start a build thread in the RBV's under construction area when you start

Welcome to the forums, Lots of info to read up on. Sounds like you have some nicer rides I'm looking forward to the cruiser build make sure you take lots of pics we all loves pics! When you do your swap make sure you have complete donor truck and if you can get your self a 5.0 Exlorer snatch it up. It's basicly a plug and play swap and the 5.0 explorer has the stonger 8.8 rear axle with disc brakes great set up for your cruiser!

Username fail, sorry

username is same that ive had for bout 10 years not changing it. I have always been into neons and have built alot of them and if u didnt read it right it is noenwarrior not neon. Noen in greek means "To kill" so thats why i chose it. but thanks for the welcome anyways bud.

Lol I thought it was a typo

A buddy of mine's nickname is Carzy due to a typo on a username many years ago.

Copied form Wikipedia - Second gen. explorers 1995-2001

Wikipedia said:
A 210 hp (157 kW) 5.0 L Windsor V8 engine and heavy-duty 4-speed 4R70W transmission were added for 1996, along with a "full time" all-wheel drive system on the Eddie Bauer and Limited in 1997. A more-powerful SOHC 205 hp (153 kW) V6 engine came as an option in 1997 along with an optional 5-speed automatic. A Mercury twin, the Mountaineer, was added in 1997 as well. In early 1997, the 5.0 L V8 received new cylinder heads (GT-40P series), which upped power to 215 hp (160 kw). Since this change was made in the middle of the 1997 release, the 1997 GT-40P equipped Explorers and Mountaineers were dubbed 1997¼ models.[citation needed] The 5.0 L V8 powered Explorer has become favored in the high performance SUV crowd, with many performance parts available. This is due to the fact that many aftermarket 5.0 L Ford Mustang parts are interchangeable with the Explorer variant. Also, the Explorer has aftermarket parts available for it including superchargers, nitrous kits, and headers. It was the first in its segment to introduce driver and passenger air bags at once.

im stuck on what i want for a box im not a fan of stepside boxes but it looks like in pictures ive looked at you can put wide tires on without them sticking out. still deciding.

Yep I would agree should be the same width. Looks like you got a nice rust free body wasn't expecting that. I couldn't belive the tailgate isn't rusted along the bottom, Nice find man. I really think a standard box would look good on a lowered truck.

Looks like the wheel of a ranger or exlorer in the reflection on the side of the truck. You got another RBV?

Oh wait never mind I went and looked at the picture again and I can see part of the rear bumper I put two and two together thats a durango.
