Long short story:

in 2003 I bought a short-bed 5-speed 2wd SEFI B2300 to do the turbo swap (before everyone had them!) and life got in the way so I just drove the truck as a daily driver (kids, etc). It's been my beater truck for years...
I still have the truck and my massive collection of turbo ford parts. I now have 210K miles on the B2300 and now it is the time to actual do the swap :headbang:

I was planning on swapping in a 2.3L turbo shortblock and keeping my dual-plug head. I have a D-port head but it's bare (I have all the goodies, big valves, several roller cams - regrinds mostly but have to get the head done)

Here's my dilemma:

I am already having dual-plug coil problems (EEC code 224 on and off) and my tach shows 1/2 the rpms. I am pretty sure it's either the module or the EEC. Should I just ditch the DP DIS setup and put the distributor on the motor and run the D-port head? This is what I am most familiar with, having formerly owned an SVO (the wheels are on my truck)

But I need this thing to be up and running as fast as possible.

Ideally, I would like to retain the DP DIS setup and the MAF but I don't have alot of time or money for tuning, or the associated money...

I plan on using the LA3 and repinning the trucks harness. I hope the SEFI harness isn't any different than the non-sefi one on the ranger.

I kinda was hoping their was someone local near Charlotte NC that could help w/ this swap. Free beer and food available
