Forgot to mention, truck has no brake lights like none at all, signals and running and parking lights work reverse too I think but the brake lights do not at all

Welcome!

If the tail lights work, but none of the brake lights do, I'd verify good bulbs then start at the brake pedal position switch. It's unlikely that all three brake light bulbs would blow at the same time, but weirder things have happened, and it's possible that the PO (previous owner) just didn't bother checking and all three burned out over time.

Okay thank you, it did sit on a barn for 3 years before I bought it is there anything else I should check?

Welcome to TRS.
Congratulations on your purchase. Is this your first vehicle? Regardless, you're gonna love it. Back seat area is a little cramped, but you don't have to ride there :p
Good advice from Josh. Taillights are getting juice, just not getting a signal to turn on.
From the image you posted the truck looks pretty clean. Post up some more when you get the chance.

EDIT:
If you're asking about "other" things beside the taillights, yes there are other typical things, like fluids for sure if it's been sitting for awhile. Fuel for sure cuz it gets old and skanky which could lead to other problems. Go easy on it till you get it all sorted out.

welcome!!!

for your soft brake pedal, try bleeding the fluid and see if it improves. if not, you might have some rubber lines that need to be replaced because they are expanding when you push the pedal ( like a balloon ). hopefully just bleeding the brakes fixes it for you though.

and i would check the brake light switch at the brake pedal. see if its out of adjustment, or maybe bad. you can pull it off and check it with a multimeter and if it reads good, reset it so the brake pedal arm pushes the switch pedal fully and then hopefully your brake lights come on

Supposedly this truck came from Texas, since it sat the old owner drained the tank out and changed the fuel filter, do I run a tank or 2 of gas thru it and change it again or don’t worry about it?

Ok thank you my dad said he was just going to order a new one but I might just test it. He works at a ford dealership so he has access to specific tools and lifts and stuff so that makes it easier for me I giess

If you trust what he said, no. Just put 1/4 tank and run. Knowing you pop has access is way cool...extreme advantage.👍

Ok, thanks, do you know of any known aftermarket headliner kits the one I have the headliner pretty much gone, also the radio is aftermarket and every time I hit a bump the sound goes away also you can’t turn it up very loud otherwise it sounds like garbage so dos anybody make a speaker and radio kit?
