Hey guys!
Ok, I know i know... Its not a ranger, but you guys have a great site, and I've been a member on BroncoII.org for a while, (I'm Mtrhd0024 over there as well) and figured I should join here too! So anyway, more about me and my truck(s)
My names Tim, I'm 18, and I'm from NC, though I don't live there at the minute. (more on that in a sec) My grandfather (who is now in his mid 70's) purchased this 1990 Bronco II Eddie Bauer Edition in the early 90's as its second owner, for using as a "woods car". He owns a bunch of property in NC, and he needed something off-road capable to do routine checks on the timber etc, so he bought the Bronco!
Well needless to say, I've grown up with the car, can't really remember a time when he didnt have it, and from the time I was tall enough to reach the pedals he was out teaching me to drive a 5 speed on the private dirt tracks all over his land. Well the time has come where he doesn't do much off-roading anymore, so he has given the car to me! I've always loved Bronco's, and had a particular love for this one, so I'm pretty chuffed to say the least!
My grandfather has taken very good care of the car over all these years, and everything on it works perfect, dispite it having 180,000 miles on it! He keeps dumping money into the car because he can't really find another 4x4 that has a small enough wheelbase to navigate the tight trails he used it on. So over its 17 year old life, its been repainted, rebuilt, poked, prodded etc to keep it in pretty good nick! For example, the air conditioning has been replaced 3x, by the local Ford dealership (the last time was this past summer!) so it still blows ice cold. Anytime anything on it breaks, it gets replaced immediatly. My grandfather also keeps a little diary for the car in the glove compartment, and every time he takes it anywhere or does anything to it, he makes a note in the book of the mileage, when it was last filled up, parts replaced, oil changed, etc! I know it seems a bit ott, but its actully pretty cool because its like an extremely detailed service history about the car!
As I hinted above, I'm from North Carolina, however I'm currently living in Northern Ireland of all places. The Bronco is still being used by my Grandfather on the occational basis, however its mine as soon as I move back to NC in another 8 months. At this point, the car will get a good going through, and be modified to a limited extent, to make a fun, good looking rig for some relatively light duty off-roading, and a daily driver.
Enough of the talk (sorry, I've done a lot I know!) here are the few pictures I have of the beast. I took these last time I was in the states (3 weeks ago) but they were taken on my phone, and I obviously cannot take any more. So enjoy the ones i've got!
Its obviously standard, however I look at that as a good thing in my case!

Looks like rust in this picture but there's not... I guess its just dirt lol.
As far as mods go, I like this Bronco a lot: (sorry if this is you're picture)
Its, in my opinion, relatively subtile, without being over the top!
I've also got a 5.0 V8 sittin in storage back home, that was meant to be used for a hot-rod, however i might be able to talk dad into letting me steal it for a V8 conversion until the rod is further along, and then we'll find another
So anyway, hope ya'll don't mind my long intro, any questions just ask, cause I'm sure I'll be asking plenty! By the way fellow North Carolinians, the Bronco is currently in Greensboro, so if any of you are local to that area, you might have seen it before!
I actually own two Bronco II's, in addition to the one I wrote about above, I've got a 1989 XLT that I got off my buddy cheap. It had a broken alternator belt which left him stranded, he got a new car, and didnt want it anymore, so I got it off him!

I think we'd buy it back now if we could! Dads looking another Ranger when we move back to the USA, so sometime this summer I'll be on the lookout!
Thats pretty close to you i think, probably closer than it was to me, and I used to go there all the time.
