Hello, My wife has a fine 99 ranger 2.5 L 4r44w trans 4.10 7.5 rear, and I recently bought a 99 Mountaineer 5.0 L AODE 3L.83 8.8 posi. I have read a lot of the threads about the swap (very informative by the way) but they skim across the motor mounts going to Coil spring front suspension from torsion bar suspension. the rest of it looks pretty much straight forward. Still collecting parts to re gasket re bearing oil pump etc...can post pics later. any info on the motor mounts will be appreciated. Thanks!

Most use a flat plate bolted to stock V-6 motor mounts. RangerSVT makes them, look down in the V-8 swap area for the best info and how to contact him.

The mounts I've been making are for the TTB frames. I haven't gotten my hands on a SALA frame to R&D mounts for them yet...
it might not be the same measurements, but worth looking into. Measure the actual studs on the motor mounts of your ranger and the explorer. It might be possible to use the explorer stock plates and motor mount. When I did my trac swap, everything swapped over...
