Name is Mike Lowrey (before its mentioned yes like Will Smith in Bad Boys) been a long time lurker decided to finally post since I've got some free time. I used to have a 2WD 87 2.9 5spd Ranger that had been through h3ll and back and as much as I abused it the truck refused to die.

Unfortunately it was getting to expensive to maintain (transmission was on its way out, tie rods, shocks, the list goes on and on) and since I only payed $500 for the truck it was time to move on. Sold the truck minus the wheels, tires, and body lift for $600 and picked up a 2000 Ranger 4.0 4x4. Its got some issues of its own (spent a few years in Michigan so its got some rust) but its a lot nicer plus its 4WD.I'm on the laptop and pictures are at home on the desktop so pictures to come soon.

Other toys in the stable include a Supercharged 3800 88 Pontiac Fiero and a 86 Pontiac Fiero that, hopefully soon, I will be installing a Full Roller Tune Port Injected 327 SBC into. Just need the time to do it and some money to get all the little parts.

Yeah it was one of those moments. Looking back it is hilarious. At that time not so much.
Couple pictures of the new truck. The torqued front bumper is where the previous owners son was in reverse and hooked the bumper on a concrete pool. Used the 4WD to get it unstuck

The only thing that's changed is the wheels & tires.

yea my truck never ran good after that sometimes it would bog down and smell like swamp water lol but i have a new truck now so its fine. you truck looks good you plan on lifting it or anything?

Mine ran great. Dragged it out started it up and drove it home. Had to replace the starter then next day. Silt got into it and locked it up pretty good but After replacing that never had an issue. Undecided on a lift. Wouldn't mind one but Getting married in a few weeks and working on trying to finish a house renovation before then as well as a few other major projects.

Yeah the previous owner kept going on about how it was a "factory freak" any truth to that or was the old guy blowing smoke? Didn't matter to me it was 4WD 4.0 with a tow package which was more or less exactly what i was looking for.
