New, Intro My, Ask Some Qs

Yeah, stay away from optima. They are designed to be in almost constant use, so unless you are always shutting it off and starting it back up they aren't great.

Deep-cycle marine batteries will do anything an optima will, do it better, and cost less.

Like the ones from Autozone, that are for boats? I can use that everyday on the truck? Thanks for the heads up, cause I went to the store this morning to get some of that orange hand cleaner stuff, and saw the optima batteries for 159 or so and one said 229? Wow!

Have any of you replaced your steering wheels? A friend just gave me a new sparco steering wheel, and a pair of seats, saying that those items should get me going on collecting parts for my ranger :) and was just eating an egg mcmuffin at his warehouse :)

If you want HID's, PM me. I get them for dirt cheap. I have a set on my truck and love them. The housing you can find on ebay cheap enough.

Like the ones at autozone and other auto retails? Cause I'm looking for actual HID kits.

Like the kind and quality on newer cars? Like the new Camaro? My Mrs' has nice ones on her new Camaro SS, she got matching foggers too, from http://www.bfxenon.com/.

Was looking into those.

I have bad experience with ebay and a few low quality lightings. My daily driver needed new corner signals and they fadded and turned to yellow. So did the ones on my Dodge Ram which were bought from an ad in a Trucking magazine.

I am not looking for cheap stuff at cheap prices. I am looking for decent to high quality for a good price.

So far I've gotten from supportive friends, new sparco reclining seats, matching steering wheel and horn button. Harnesses. Another friend at best buy is giving me free speakers and a head deck :D

Alot of people heard I was going to try my hand at building something, and some people said they'll see what they got and throw it my way since alot of my friends have stuff they dont need, though some of that stuff isn't for a truck :yahoo: but eh. Free is always an awesome price! Another friend who just killed his Toyota Fj is giving me his Hi-Lift jack, its locking mounts, its cover, and that little weird plastic wedge thing that stops its bar from flying around.

So I'm glad I'm getting stuff coming in. I also bought a basic Craftsman toolset from sears, a guy there is going to sell me a Warn HID light set? Hes throwing in a knife he said he got from them too, still new and in box/wrapping. So I'm looking forward to that in about an hour :) besides that? Nothing much to report guys :D

Still looking for a good truck as a base. A friend suggested buying a truck already built and finished, another said buy a stock one and build it myself. Eh, which ever comes my way I guess.
