95? That makes it harder. The easiest V8 swaps are 96+ OBD2. (I've considered it extensively myself.)
As long as you know how to use a multi-meter and read a wiring diagram you should be good.
If the mounts are in the same place it might be possible to use the entire wiring harness and dash from an Explorer.
