Hi - a couple of months ago I picked up a 2005 Ranger FX4 - It's in pretty good shape - 131k miles but seems to have been pretty well taken care of.

One thing I have noticed is in the bed there is a rhino-liner and under that there is a "repair patch" - one of the official corrugated deals ... however right up tight at the cab end of the bed you can tell how flimsy the patch is - there is obviously rot under there - any advice on how to take care of it properly would be appreciated.
Very best!

Howdy and welcome to TRS~!

Probably a good project to remove the bed and clean up the underside. It isn't hard to do but be prepared to replace bolts and look for frame rust. there are 6 (or 8) Torx bolts (55) holding the box on the frame...and you would need to Remove the filler neck as well as disconnecting it from the body....other than that just the light bulbs...remove the lenses and pull out the connectors

The clean up part depends on what you find when you get things removed. There are tons of videos on how to do body work on Youtube so no reason why you can't do this yourself.

Remove box, clean up parts and inspect..fix and reinstall...

Might want to count on replacing the clip nuts and/or bolts
