i found this forum while researching this vehicle. i am looking for something that is:
cheap
durable
easy to repair with readily available parts
can haul my boxer dog to the beach and stuff from the lumber yard
handle the short, menial trips around town, etc.
oh, and crawl through the snow in the winter.

i have a turbo Mazdaspeed3 and a 2007 Honda Civic Si. both require 93, and both like to be driven quickly...and both entail car payments with warranties, so the less meaningless driving, the better. plus, you can figure i'm not well-versed with trucks.

i have my eyes on this one -

what do you all think?

That's beautifull. Buy it. I miss my old B2. That is one clean B2. Go for it. Try to talk them down a little though, like 2,000 cash. I'd buy that thing soon is I saw it. It's a perfect for what you want , I owned 3 of em before I got my ranger. A little different than what your used to though, don't expect it to ever run better than an 18.0 in the 1/4.

Good luck, hopefully we could welcome you to the RBV community soon.

That is a nice looking B2 however. I would question why the paint job
looks pretty new. Why? because they could be masking an accident
by putting on new body parts and then painting it. I would do a carfax
on it. But, hey good luck and I hope you do get that one. If so, let us know.

If it's for real, it's a very nice B2. But I'm suspicious also. Just too nice. Paint looks new, and not quite the right color . . .

Definite Carfax report needed (note that the VIN is NOT listed). I would also collect ALL the claimed records, and call the service provider to verify.

If you get this vehicle, expect: 16-18 mpg around town at best, 18-22 on the highway, low power, with A/C probably marginally functional.

Durable, yes, but expect to do maintenance work on a regular basis. Also, ride is rather choppy and stiff for a daily driver. This vehicle, compared to a Japanese built car, is rough and unrefined.

If you look at it, make sure the transmission and transfer case, electric lo and 4X4 shift are all functional. Check the axles to see if they have Limited Slip differentials in the rear &/or front. Sorry, but without at least rear LS, it will not really "crawl through the snow in winter". (Mine can get stuck in my slightly sloped driveway!)

Good Luck!
