Hey everyone. I've lurked for a while, now I'm registered.
I currently am wheeling a TJ, but I'm a diehard Ford guy since way back.
I've built and raced/daily drove several 5 liter mustangs, and have had several Ford trucks and cars.
I recently came across a 98 Explorer Sport for the low low price of free.
I've yanked the 8.8, the 4.0 sohc, tranny and 1354 case.
I'm selling everything off and my intention is to put in a Explorer V8, with a c6, some type of gear driven case and either 3/4 or 1 ton axles.
Thats about as far as I've got in my planning stage.
I'm here looking for answers.
I gotta try to figure out what leafs to use in the back, and what shackles.
In the front my plan is a set of CAGE radius arms and air shocks.
Anyhow, nice to be a part of your forum officially and now my searching begins..
