Howdy Folks. Just joined this forum and have alot of questions about engine changes. Want to take out my 3.0 v-6 to install a v-8. Want to keep it a 2 wheel drive truck and be able to drive it anywhere. Hope this is possible. I been building wrecks for the last 25 years so i will do all the work myself. Hope you guys can help with the info.

In a 2000 model it should be fairly simple if you can 2000 model 5.0 Explorer and use everything from radiator to transmission and all of the wiring/ECU/modules.

Welcome for sure! You are going to learn to visit our great tech library for some of the question or advice in the build. Any Explorer from '99-2001' will work.
