Hello All,
I just bought my 2nd Ranger, a 2003 2.3 single cab with the automatic. I used to have a 1995 ext. cab with the 2.3 and 5 speed but it's been a few years since I sold it, but now I'm back in the Ranger business!
Gotta say I just love the 2003 much better than the '95. The Lima 2.3 was a good engine for me and durable as heck but the Duratec 2.3 has a much better powerband, I guess from that long stroke among other things. Like the 5-speed automatic also, espec. since I do a lot of around-town driving. I thought the 4cyl-auto might be a dog combination but not so, it has enough power for me. The seats are really comfortable also, but so were the ones in the '95. The owner took great care of the truck, synthetic oil and all, ane I even have the original window sticker, LOL. Great website here and thought I'd say hi.
