well i just put a deposit down on an 89 ranger 2wd 2.3 5 speed. the car is VERY clean as far as rust goes, with lots of new replacement parts.
it'll be my new daily driver/beater/project. i'm eventually planning to do the 2.3t swap, but for now i just need to survive the winter.
i have never owned a rwd vehicle before... any tips for improving traction? i was told to build a 2x4 frame in the bed to hold some cinder blocks right above the rear wheels. i plan to pick up some snow tires, possibly studded. any other ideas would be much appreciated.
i'm not a complete n00b to cars, i own/built a 95 escort that runs low 12's at almost 120mph. ive been driving fwd cars my whole life.... just needed a change
i'll post pics when i pick it up in a week or two.
