I'm installing some aftermarket gauges and have a question. The gauges are Autometer Comp II's, oil pressure, water temp and a differ mfg inside/outside air temp. The oil pressure is a no brainer with a T fitting to keep the original gauge, but the water temp is different. If I go with a T fitting the sensors will not be in the water stream and the readings will be slightly off. I'm thinking about drilling a port next to the stock sender just to the left (as looking from the radiator). Does anyone know of any problems in doing this? Anyone know of a better location?
Thank you

BTW the gauges are being installed in a dash pod above the radio. Pictures to follow when done.

First off, the oil pressure gauge is not accurate from the factory. I would just put the aftermarket on in place of the stock setup. The second issue with the water temp. There is a sender on the drivers side of the intake. I removed the stock unit and put the aftermarket in there, if you bought a kit it should have an adaptor that will fit in that hole. The aftermarket gauges are not run by an electric sender and are much more accurate. There is aother water temp sender on the passanger side of the motor the is for the ecm.
