I have a '88 ranger (daily driver) with an '96 explorer engine (gt40 heads), trans (4r70w), rearend (8.8 w/ 3.73s), rear suspension, gauges, wiring harness (extended to factory location), ecu, and seats from a '96 explorer, stock '90 mustang cam, DJM dream beams, and bullitt rims. I'm in the middle of the swap right now. '88 Ranger=$600, '96 Explorer=$700 (totalled), DJM Dream Beams= $35 (jy find), Extra '97 Explorer Wiring Harness (for extending mine)= $35 (jy), '90 Mustang Camshaft= free (originally from my mustang engine), 17" Bullitts= $300 (with 4 tires & 2 Mickey Thompson ET Streets)
$ spent so far= $1670

I'm in the middle of the swap right now. I've also blacked out the engine bay and I hope to be able to make it all look and drive almost like it could've came from the factory. It's definitely been a job. At least I don't have much in it. lol
