My name is Andy. Bret (Sloth69stang) helped me in picking out a reliable 4x4 truck. Obvious he was bias toward the Ford Ranger because his has never let him down. Being a Ford guy I was all about the idea from the beginning. Its a great reliable truck and am happy to be part of the community. I work at a dealership. I enjoy off roading, working on my Merkur, Formula 1, shooting guns, talking about vehicles, and hanging with my wife.

I am a 2.3L nut.
I currently have 4 complete engines and one short block. I have some great turbo parts for sale.

Question?
Did Ford ever build a 2.3L 4x4 Ranger?
I would rather have that then my 4.0L
Crazy as it sounds I know how to work those engines and am looking to sell or trade my truck for one.
If anyone has any information on this question let me know.

welcome! yeah, ford did make 2.3l 4wd rangers. they aren't very common at all though. the only way i would want that four banger in my ranger is if it were forced induction. i'm sure you realize that ford never did things that way haha. btw, pm me if you've got any go-fast parts you wanna get rid of. always looking to make the turbo coupe a lil quicker.

I guess Bret's user name is sloth69mustang not stang... I work with him.
I do have many go fast parts for the 2.3L engines. They are fun and have a great amount of torque if built right. I am tossing around the idea of getting rid of my xlt for a short bed single cab 2wd with a 2.3L. Id then take that turbo it and build the truck that is featured as truck of the month.

Im glad that i am fortunate enough to live in a state with so many Ranger guys.

I was going to go to the ranger meet with Bret but had tickets to go to Mid Ohio last Sunday and watch the Rolex race...
