Hi, I'm a firefighter and a member of many Ford forums..mostly Mustang related. I have several Mustangs and other Fords in the driveway. I have a 94 Ranger XL . This was purchased as a work truck by some company originally. You can still see decal outlines in the white paint in the right light. It is a basic stripped white work truck, blue vinyl interior. No power steering or AC. 2.3 5 spd. No power anything. I have been using this as basic, cheap transportation back and forth to work to keep miles off my 05 Roush Mustang. Plus the gas savings. Anyway, I am thinking of taking this Ranger and doing a V8 conversion and making a light, fast street/strip vehicle. I know nothing about these conversions as far as ease of fitment of a 302/351 into these things. I would probably go carbed (budget) instead of injected. Easiest tranny choices? Does the 94 have a 7.5 or 8.8 rear? Driveshaft? Any help I can get would be appreciated.
