Welcome krey! Tell us what your up against. Sharp corners were invented by the same engineer that designed my Ranger!

Welcome! Ford engineers are forbidden to talk to mechanics so they just design away. Sometimes I’m surprised you don’t need 4 different sized spark plug sockets. You do need 4 different extensions and u joints though. 😉

When I fill up the tank the engine stumbles and stalls once in a while until I've ran some gas out.

The fuel system is just like other systems, they require inspection & maintenance. Now would be a good time to look around under there, see what the filter/regulator is looking like, is it new? Old? New is better than old, so consider R&R. The fuel pump pressure while the stumbling is worth watching. Look for codes stored, but like I mentioned the other day....running out of gas stores no codes. At least not the time it happened to me. So have a look around & report back. Perhaps others will chime in with their ideas.

You can find that filter halfway down inside the frame rail. Post a pic of your truck krey. We like pics.

Early this spring I replaced the fuel pump, sending unit and fuel filter.a couple weeks after that I replaced the alternator and then the battery. It was running fine except for an occasional stumble and rough running. I found the MAP sensor half disconnected a few months ago. It was been running great and in the last 2 months it has been acting up only immediately after I would top off the tank. I have never run it out of fuel.
A few days ago I cleaned the air filter and so far it has been doing ok. It just makes me nervous when I drive it now.

Once the fuel nozzle clicks off, do NOT put in more fuel (Top off, or try to make the dollar amount even). That can screw up one of the emission sensors.

Faith & Ford Rangers go hand & hand! No worries~
