New Finished Center Console + System! UPDATE WITH HQ PICS

A little background on this setup... I did a 60/40 to 40/40 conversion a while back and made the center console/sub box a but didnt get around to finishing and painting it. But I did paint a few of the interior pieces and I did the system at the same time and drove it like that until just recently. Now I finally put the finishing touches on it all! I don't think its possible to fit any more stereo in a standard cab :P. Let me know what you all think!

3/4 inch MDF with a dual layer plywood front curved part. 10 inch shallow Clarion 600w sub mounted in the back of it, sealed (cant remember volume, but it was exactly what the manufactures suggested) separated from the front curved part. Smoothed and painted to match the body!

Another view.

Amps behind each seat. Passenger side is the 240w RMS Clarion 4 way speaker amp, drivers side is 600w Clarion sub amp. Center console barely fits in between them :P Newly painted rear speaker covers can be seen too.

Haha I know, IMO the stock one is ugly so one of these days im going to do my own leather one or something like that.

Looks good, but a little slippery...maybe for me I'd want a rubber stopper on there so I don't slide off into the shifter...lol

You cant see it in the pics but on the bottom of it near the front there is a groove cut out so the console fits snugly over a floor contour, this groove holds it snugly in place :)

I'm sure it's secured to the floor, I was just funning about sliding my arm off the slope...was looking for ideas for my console...I have one of the same cup holders on the floor like you've got, but it's a bit too far forward and under the ashtray...which tends to leave my coffee cup sprinkled with ashes...not a good combo since that's what some people drink (ashes in coffee) to make them appear sick...

Ah I get what you meant. Yeah its a little bit slippery but natural body position puts my arm on the top flat part, I cant ever remember having an issue with the slope. Actually now that its all done I wish I though of some sort of storage compartment for that part of the console, maybe even a custom head unit mount in there or something... but of course now its too late. Oh well maybe some future version of it will have one.

You might be able to add something to the front of it...like cup holders, change dishes, or run wires and add a plug for your MP3 or whatever else you use...

But I think I would have done some storage there too...something hidden if possible just to thwart would-be break-in artists...

Otherwise...looks good!
