anyone get he notion to pull off there lill D ring and slap on somthing you would find in the heavy truck world? that outta slow'em down

I though he meant a caribiner that is used in rock climbing. They are probably the cheap ones that are supposed to be used as key rings.

ive been carrying my camera around in hopes of seeing that one civic again...
 
I don't see how they get a d-ring on there. All the ones I've seen have to be recessed and mounted with 4 bolts.
 
.....nothing posted so far is a D-Ring, like has already been said one is a carribeaner and the other is a CLEVICE.....anyone that works with large equipment for a living should know that

They are really called a "Screw Pin Straight Shackle clevis"(Yes that is how it is spelled, correctly.), a d-ring is the redneck term.

maybe its a single nut. Not big enough for both nuts so they put up a plastic imitation
