I had some trouble with my last engine and toasted the pistons.

So I decided to do a full rebuild on the engine.

Got the block back from my machinist and painted it to match the truck.

The head is a worked over NA head with big valves. I reshaped the chambers to accommodate big valves.

I really miss working on a 2.3! They are one of the best motors Ford [German design] ever produced.

Nice work!:headbang:

Got the engine together and installed today.

No pics of the install yet, it was dark by the time I got the engine in.

Agreed! They're so freaking simple and awesome!

HOT DAMN! :yahoo: I love this build! :icon_hornsup: I love the colors!

How many licks will it take to get through to the chocolaty center? :D

Finished up the install today.

$65 intercooler. The couplings cost way more than the intercooler.

Its running nice and smooth, there were a couple oil leaks. I took care of two (I think) we'll see if there are others. I'm hoping not, but to be honest, I think there are more. Now I need to do some tuning and breaking in, but I'm moving to California this weekend. I've gotta pass emissions before I go because I highly doubt that I could after I get there.

If it doesn't pass emissions, then are you going to sell the ranger?

I could give it a good life, ya know... :icon_thumby:
