There are many ERRORS in that article...


the one most annoying is mentioning Inconel as "an Aerospace aluminum"

Inconel is a Nickel/Chromium alloy that has been used in exhaust turbines for Decades...

Simply because nothing else will stand the heat...

It doesn't say that it is a new technology. It simply seems like the writer has never heard of it before. What other "many ERRORS" are in the article?

Pretty cool, let's hope that Ford isn't lying about the emissions haha

Kinda like the "military grade aluminum" they flaunt for the fullsize truck bodies.

Military grade for what? Flashlights? Navy jet landing gear? Mess kits? Naval ship superstructures before they decided aluminum cracked too much and reverted back to steel?

I haven't really looked into it much but it kinda ruffles me the wrong way every time I hear it.

Oh trust me, they haven't fully learned.....yet. The littoral class is riddled with issues.

Back to the OP, it'd be interesting to see one of those in a first gen.
