when i was at the local off road park this weekend, i had a group of ranger and BII guys come up to me with a big smile on there faces and the first thing they said was, THAT MOTHER****ER SREAMS!!!
THATS WHY I WANT TO GET ONE!! HEHE Thats just excitement... My B2's pretty awsome as it is, but it can be better. Needs more range in the rpm's. I used to be able to keep up with my bros' full size when his was stock, but he cammed and intaked it. Now i cant keep up hehe. Both 4x4 too.
i hit about 5500 rpm's, seems like the cam im running has a mid range powerband. some people talk crap about the 2.9 but im impressed with mine.. i have a 87' 2.9 throttle body(bigger then late 2.9's), air/fuel ratio chip, ported intake, MSD ignition coil, and i run 93 octane.
Make me an offer. Let me know if you're interested and I will pull it out and take some pictures for you. It has a little more lobe displacement angle (111LDA) and it's a dual grind - .435 intake and .455 exhaust @ 1.43:1 rocker ratio. Also will come with the lifters, replaced w/ cam and they were purchased from Napa.
quick question my b2 runs fine around city 1-4th gear as soon as i put it in overdrive on the highway its a turd would a cam help this. 5th gear= no pickup
I have had good experiences with Colt Cams here in BC. He might ship to the states but you would have to ask. Click on the gray box that says camshaft profiles and it will open another window with the cam specs.
