My 87 had a 3" body lift when I got it and the guys who did it didnt extend the filler hoses at all so they actually pulled the bed over an inch. I think you can just loosen them and slide them up a tiny bit at the tank end, it doesnt take much. I ended up just disconnecting my filler ends from the doors and the little lips on them and the stiffness of the hose kept them in place for a while until I cut my body lift down to an inch, then is was all good.
Actually better than before, it used to always kick the pump off every few seconds which made refuelling a pain. Now it just fills like every other vehicle.
