I have had my 2000 Ranger for over a year and had decided that it just wasn't as good a 4X4 as my old 94 Ranger with manual hubs and manual transfer case.

Well about a week ago I couldn't get out of the neighborhood with just an inch or so of fresh snow on top of some ice. So, thanks to The Ranger Station I learned about my PVH hubs, and ordered a set of AVM Hubs. They came today and I installed them. What a difference! I finally have real 4 wheel drive!

Thanks to all the Ranger owners who have shared their knowledge to make the Ranger Station such a great site!

we'll see how long they last, muhahahahhaa

Yeah i put the avm manuel locking hubs on my 99 ranger really made a differance and they went on in like half hour if that

where are u geting your avn hubs???

AVM hubs

I found out about the hubs in the Tech section under "Locking Hubs". Read the article "AVM Hub Upgrade for Vacuum Hubs." In the article there are links to Tellico 4X4 and Baseline 4X4. Baseline had the best price and reasonable shipping costs. I got the hubs in about two days and it didn't take much time at all to install them.
