Hi-am right now replacing the old alternator on my 1986 Ranger with a new Jasper engine recently purchased. The new alternator-NAPA-is a perfect fit with one problem. There's the small harness for the regulator that fits fine (internal). But on the main harness there are 2 heavy wires and one lighter gauge one on the NAPA piece. My old harness just has the 2 heavy gauge wires. I'm suppose to strip and solder but am lost with the small wire. What do I do?

Must have been a boring question. Just in case anyone is interested, doubtful, but I just ignored the small gauge wire and everything seems to work just fine.

On the weekends post don't get answered as rapidly.
