New 3.0 Toy

Ok guys, I just got donated a Ranger frame with attached 3.0 and Trans but no body.

I have the 2.9 in my BII now.
I hear that it isn't worth swapping out the 2.9 for the 3.0.

So I want to do a project with the 3.0.
Wanted to try forced induction.
Mainly turbo.

Any tips?

What year 3.0, and ranger? I've never seen a completed turbo setup on a 3.0, but I would LOVE to. DOITand post lots of pics!

Most people that talk about it say a remote mount setup would be easier than trying to fab up manifolds and stuff. Just depends on your skills and what you want though I guess. Most 3.0's start to blow head gaskets and things at around 12-15psi so if you're planning on going bigger than that, I'd think about some copper head gaskets or fel-pro's at the very least, and ARP fasteners but thats just my $0.02.

Turns out the guy was trying to get rid of a vehicle that wasn't his.
Oh well, the search continues on for a 4.0....
