When I installed the v8 I also installed an aod trans, I noted there were 5 wires in the clutch neutral safety and 4 in the aod ns. Continuity checks showed closed circuit in park and neutral so I hooked them up and I get a click but no start. If I remove the switch an hook up a jumper it will start. Without ns of course, it's like there is a .big load that the switch can't handle, are the other three wires part of a neutral safety relay?

now what i would do is remove the neutral safety switch like you have done before and i would make sure that the switch is completely made..i believe you can use some pliers and just pull down on the switch to make sure its fully closed. its sounds as though you may have a bad switch and the reason i say that is because when you jumper across the ns it starts

The NSS is simple on the AOD. R/LB is from ignition switch, W/PK is to starter relay. The W/PK is spliced back into a R/LB wire in the mainharness, but not relevant. The other 2 are reverse light switch.
