for those of you that have Netflix. i recommend The Ranch. Story is about a cattle ranch in a rural area of Colorado. Sam Elliot, Debra Winger, Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson (That 70s show Kelso and Hyde) Pretty good show, Ashton Kutcher pulls off the role of an idiot fairly well. Danny Masterson does a fair job at it as well, and Elliot is awesome as the father and head of the Ranch. And they are Ford fans to lol, Ashton Kutcher's characters girlfriend Abby has a 97 Ranger :)

I have been delaying my Netflix membership due to going to the Library to borrow or return DVD's has been my only real motivation to get any exercise...but I will check out the free month and see if the show is the deal breaker for a continued relationship...lol

Elisha Cuthbert was OK in 24 but they really dragged her character out too far sometimes...so I got a bit tired of her Kim Bauer role...she was young at the time I started watching 24 but she matured well and made her character more tolerable with her good looks...and I just learned she is married to Dion Phaneuf who was the Captain of my beloved Leafs before he was traded to Ottawa...so now I will look at her from a slightly different viewpoint...

The Ranch is That 70's Show part 2.

It is Danny Masterson hitting Ashton Kutcher and calling him dumb, except this time it's on a cattle ranch in Colorado instead of in a basement in Wisconsin.

Very good show, 4.5-stars. Plenty of good jokes and hot chicks, lost 1/2 point for not enough boobies.

Yep, that was my thoughts too on it being "That 70s Show" part 2. Even Kurtwood Smith (Red) and Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty) have a cameo in this show :)

we now just need Eric, Fez, Donna and Jackie to show up.

Wilmer Valdarama (Fez) has come and gone. He was Alberto, the Nueman's Hill ranch hand.

Topher Grace is unlikely to show up as he didn't really get along with the rest of the 70s Show cast, one of the bigger reasons he left that show.

Laura Prepon may or may not appear, she has been busy with OINB, but they are going into their last season I hear.

Mila Kunis might not show up at all. She didn't make an appearance on Masterson's last show for TBS, when all the rest did. I don't know if that is because there wasn't time (it was a short lived show) or she didn't want to.

The actor that I was happiest to see was Jim Beaver, even if he is playing a vastly different role from the first one I saw him in. He plays Abby's dad on The Ranch, but he used to play (and sometimes still does) Bobby Singer on Supernatural, who was my favorite supporting character until Edgar shot him in the head at the end of Season 7 or 8.

First episode was hard to muscle thru (mainly the opening scene) but it is a good series so far (caught three episodes last night)

Shame they are writing Rooster out though. His fake redneck accent was kind of annoying but the character was good.

I haven't gotten a good look at the front of the Ranger yet but I wonder if it is newer. I don't see much in the way for hubs on the front and it sits awful high for a 2wd. And it does have 98+ wheels on it.

looking at the tail lights and dash in it, I was thinking 95-97. It may be a 98, I will have to look at the cab corners and b pillar a little closer... plus the front fender around the side marker lights..

I am no 3gen+ expert by any means, it might be a lifted 2wd with late 90's early 00's wheels.

95-11 has pretty much the same interior though.

looking at it agian last night... saw the rear window slider is the same as the window sliders in the 3rd gens single cab. if I recall, all 98+ got the same rear slider as the extended cabs.

the interiors changed in 95, and for the most part they stayed the same until the end of the run, with the exception of the steering wheel airbag cover got some dimples in it for texture sometime in the early to mid 2000's.

will still try to catch a good shot of the front end or front fender and cab back tho...

It was horridly out of focus but last night I could have sworn I saw a TTB hub sticking out... so I think I have to agree on it being a third gen with fourth gen wheels.

I have been impressed with how good of a job they have done keeping it somewhat realistic.

And then they finally show "the tractor"

I kinda had Beau pegged for something like a 4230 kinda guy. Big enough to move round bales with, probably a cab for baling and winter weather, not that new and they wouldn't really need a ton of power since they don't really do any row crop. Maybe a 4020 except for a cab.

And they have a tiny nearly worthless open station compact utility tractor...

They never show Abby's truck in any great detail. I think they are trying hard to hide what it is so they don't have to deal with getting permission from Ford to show it.

It has to be a gen3, between 93 and 97. It has the tail/brake light up top, then the reverse light, then the turn signal at the bottom. That's a 93-97 light. 98+ was Turn, tail, reverse.

I think the wheels are Explorer teardrops.

It has the '95+ interior so I agree with 97' it is a 95-97. They have clearly showed that several times.

For all the Ford/Chevy jokes and flat out calling it a Ranger several times I don't think they really care a whole lot.

I was watching another series (Bones) and I saw that they used the same clip of a red Ford Ranger passing the front of the restaurant...I was surprised they would use the same scene in so many episodes...
