need help asap please

96 explorer eb had to change the vss on transfer case now it runs like crap if it runs at all so here it is when is cold and it been sittting for severl hours it funs fine but after about 10 mins it looses allmost all power and wont go past 2500 rpms and do more than 25-30kms any ideas of what could do this please edit it is also putting gas out some were under the motor

um...any codes/check engine light? Kinda sounds like when an injector goes out, runs fine when cold but when it warms up the resistanc in the injector goes loopy..you can check that with an ohm meter. But that gas leak is a def place to start. I dont see hoe changing the vss could cause any of that...gotta find where the gas is leaking

it dont seem to be leaking now but the engin is not even running when cold now had to get a friend to push me most of the way home it will idel some what now but when you put it in gear and give it gas it wants to move but wontb and rpms wont go past 1500 in gear and in park to the floor it stopes at around 3000 3200 rpms?? o and shakes like crazy o and it did have a po500 code =vss anda missfire on #4 butcant get it looked at now because cat drive it any were well i could al like 15kms if thereareno hills lol

catalyst plugged up? Do you smell burning when its running? Look and see if the cat gets red hot...idk just throwin out ideas..Try pulln plug #4 after running and see if its wet. If yes make sure you getn spark at the plug..

ok so went andgot a scaner and its telling me 3 02 sencersare gone any 1 think that could be it??

Eh O2 sensor can make it run kinda shitty with bad gas mileage but not that bad I don't think...Thinkn maybe the cat is bad and thats what took out the o2 sensors....maybe

One thing you can try is pulling out the o2 sensor in front of the cat and see if it runs any better

i unpluget 2 of the o2 sencers and no differance cuta hole in the cat same thing ????? could it have jumped its timming??????

could disconnect it at the front...I doubt it. its a chain I think..dude idk it's hard over the internet..Where the hell is everybody else?
