ok so im doing a the 5.o swap im a total noob to it ive read almost all 5.0 articles on TRS that was a great starting place ive going to do a street ranger no offroading at all. so to start out ive got the 5.0 came outa a 1999 mercury mountaineer idk how many mile but the motor is in amazing shape thow got it for 30 bucks !!!!!!! pulled and automatic AOD tranny out a 1984 302 f150 $10s not bad condition the 5.0 is going to be carburated
so im having trouble with the vehicle. im not sure on what i can get year wise
i no that a obd1 ranger would work 94 and down 96 was the first year the government mayed ever manufacture put obd11 in all vehicles and ford started in 95 on the ranger with obd11. i would prefer the year range 1998 to 2001 ranger but idk how well that would work being that it is an obd11 vehicle.
