I just picked up a 1998 Ranger 2.5l and A/C, power steering, etc. were removed from front of engine and all of the bolts lost. I could either use all of the bolts if anyone has them they want to sell reasonably or a list of bolts and sizes. Can anyone help me out on this? Thanks in advance for the help.

If you can't find them at a junkyard, you can find out what bolts were used from the on-line manual diagrams (part number) and then check the link I put up in the Submit Items for Tech Articles...it gives you a complete breakdown (usually) of the type of fastener, thread size, length, and anything you'd need to go out and buy similar sized bolts...or order them from a parts store...

The on-line manual can be found at the link below...you just need to search the appropriate diagrams and they should be there...the part numbers are usually listed with them...but sometimes you need to hunt around a bit...

happy hunting!

As a source suggestion, try Ace Hardware. Both of the ones close(ha!) to me have a pretty complete selection of fasteners, metric and inch.
If I were looking for a pile of bolts, that's where I'd go. I think going to the dealer for bolts would be a bleeps errand. They will not (generally, not all) want to take the time to look up individual bolts, annotate the numbers, and place an order. It all depends on the parts person. Some will take the effort, others are lazy. They told me I had to replace the complete fuel line, from the tank to the injectors when a piece that connected to the sending unit shattered(after being dropped ~5 inches to the top of the tank), around $300. AFTER selling me a complete sending unit for ~$200.
Fastenall may have what you need also, but I don't have one near.

I like Mark's way of thinking. I've spent so much time at Pick and Pull type yards over the last few months they will start to charge me rent! But if you make a full shopping list of what hardware you need? That's the best and lowest cost way to solve the issues.

As for local hardware shops? Look for a place like:

We have one in the Syracuse area. Kinda pricey in some respects, but great customer service and selection. You'll need to know exactly what to ask for however.
