Alright I was planning on changing my cluster because my temperature gauge was not working..so I went to the scrap yard yanked a cluster off of a 1995 Explorer. I didnt look at the engine to see if it was a 5.0 or not oops. I installed it and well the temperature gauge still doesnt work but now the oil pressure gauge is showing really low like close to the L. I dont know if the reading is correct but im worried. And im not sure how to diagnose to see if my oil pressure is actually low. Also noticed that the acceleration looks a little high also on the gauge reading 1500 rpm at idle. Maybe the cluster needs to go? My ranger has a 4.0 EFI Explorer engine in it. The only problem is I dont know what year the engine is.
