Need to know the name of a song

That is also one of my top 10 favorite car movies. Love the soundtrack also. Even though I have most of them on LP and 8-track.

8-track,you still have 8-track?wow,i spilled beer on most of mine on the gravel roads of iowa.still spin lp's though.these old songs still sound as good today as they did back when i was dodging the vice principal.

Nothing better than good ole rock-n-roll.

I kinda wonder how many of these groups would still be around today if they had the quality of drugs today, back then. I know they had drugs back then, but i dont think they were as "strong" as they are today.

I'm not old, I just happen to like the older music that I can still partially understand what is being said, as compared to this crap that plays now.

x2

My parking lot was mainly full of trucks and cheap cars, along with the odd Mustang, Camaro or Nova.

I may be a young guy, buti wish i coulda been in hs when those cars freely romed around. All the kids i went to school with drive bmw's and meredes and those god awful fart cans. There was the small section of good ole boys who filled a section of the parking lot with mud and loud pipes. Oh and my buudies nova...900 rwhp. blew those ricers off the road.

On the way home tonite I heard a rice can muffler puffin behind me. I sorta ignored it like always, I glanced in the mirror and saw he had blue bulbs in his side marker lights. Next light I notice he is now sitting next to me. I glance over and the dude is staring at me. So I goosed it a little. The ole 2.9 revved to life. For some reason I was in a good mood so I thought what the hell. It's nite, there is no one around, Ill give it a go.

Saw the light going the other direction go to yellow. He redlines his briggs and stratton, rattling my windows with the exhaust. Light changes, I dump the clutch... 1st.... 2nd.... 3rd... Hit about 3K in 3rd (45mph) and decided I would back off..

Next light I noticed he had gotten back in the lane behind me...:icon_rofl:

Guess he couldn't stand to see me again. Damn I love those 2.9's.

On the other hand, Heather and I have always said we wished we could have lived back in the 60's and 70's when everything was 'different'

My 8 track player bit the dust a year ago but I have the old 8 tracks in a box. Still waiting for good deal on a working model. Love the sound of a lp though. I like how a CD is clear sounding but the crackle of a lp playing still sounds good to me. Can't let go of my youth I guess.

Oh and I still have a functional reel to reel. Hours of continous party music.

I bought my mom one of those table top stereo's that look old fashoned. I gave it last year for christmas, prior to that I don't think I had ever heard a record in the last 10 years. There is something about the crackle that is eerily soothing.

Her and I were discussing the other night how in her day the music was on a record, now a days it's on a cd, she said what's next.. I told her now is MP3's and CD's are on their way out. I dunno what's next.

I have over 1500 cassettes and boxes full of LPs (haven't counted in years). One of these days I'm going to archive my music and buy a DVD player for my truck. I could listen to hours of countless mp3s will on the road.

i hear you,we need a station in atlanta that is not predictable or plays a better mix.one station plays just a few artists and another plays the fast death metal.nothing wrong with either, just doen't work for me.age doesn't matter, when i hear the right tune i reach for the volume and let it rip.hope i'm still rockin in another 30 years!

skippy just get yourself a satallite radio, its worth it.

I still have lots of LP's. I have ones that I bought in high school. I have plenty of CD's, but I have 2 turntables, one is a backup. Occasionally it's fun to go record huntin', try to find something rare (I have some Black Sabbath records printed in Russia.)

What's some of the first albums/CD's you bought? I remember getting some money from my job on the farm and buying E.L.O.'s Greatest Hits, Ted Nugent State of Shock, and Scorpions Lovedrive. Ozzy albums came later.

Rolling stones "Some girls"
I had a '69 charger just out of high school, got it for $1,500. It was just about as old as my ranger is now. What a blast, those were the days!

Hey Zman, is satallite radio really worth it? how much does it cost ya?
Radio around here pretty much sucks too.
