I just scored what appears to be a 4" inch lift off of craigslist for 60 bucks :D. The kid didn't know what the manufacturer was, his buddy had just gave it to him at some point. The brackets had some part numbers on them, that I found to be Superlift after some Googling. Anyway, the coils I got are painted black, but are red underneath. I don't think Superlift made red coils...Does anyone know the free coil length of their Rancho or Skyjacker springs? These ones are about 19" I believe.

Also, some picks of some 93-97 Rangers on 4" lift with no body lift would be awesome to see what I might be able to fit. I'm hoping for 33x10.5 at this point, but would love to fit 33x12.5's. The truck came stock with 31's.

Thanks in advance!

i don't have any pics but I had a superlift 4" lift with spacers under the coils to lift it another inch and I ran 33x14.50 mickey thompsons on 12.5" wheels no problems.

19" sounds about right for a 4" lift coil, my Superlift 4" measured about 18.5" IIRC.

What about extended brake lines? Do you guys run em? And where did you get em if you do?

stainless braided. $50 custom made at local hydraulic supply store.

Alright, I got the suspension thrown on, but its totaly screwed. The coils look like they are waaaaaaay 2 long for some reason. I know I will need to have the alignment looked at, but I dont think they can do anything with how far out of camber the tires are. The look like this: /-o-\. I wish i knew what coils these were.... I cant find free length measurement comparisons anywhere on the web for some reason.

Actually i did that backwards, the tires are like this \-o-/. I don't really want to move the brackets to the 5.5 holes, I would rather get the proper length coils if that is the case. Or... am I just freaking out and the alignment shop will be able to fix this even though they are WAY out?

Have you tried rolling the truck back & forth a bit to settle the suspension? (they will always look like that right after you let it off a jack due to the tires binding the suspension up).

Or you could make a roll-plate to put under one tire like described near the bottom of this page and then check it that way.

They weren't able to align it correctly, but said they would do it for free if/when i make some changes. Here are some pics. This is with 30x9.5 tires and 4inch blocks in the rear

Yes, I have driven it miles to. Wanted to make sure everything was settled. Bump steer is crazy, not sure why they even give you a drop pitman arm that is too small hehe. Definitely learning a lot of this front end! Lifting my SFA Bronco was so much easier, it rides better after the lift and I've never had an alignment or anything lol :)

i would definately put it in the bottom holes.....that should take care of it

and the longer pitman arm from Skyjacker ( as mentioned before ) will take care of the bump steer

I'm just going to order some 4 inch skyjacker springs. The drop brackets for the radius arms are for a 4 inch lift. If i put the beams in the 5.5 holes, even though my camber might be closer to being fixed, my caster will still be fubared. Found some on summit, which is awesome because I usually get stuff within a day.

actually, i bet the castor won't be bad at all.....don't think there is a difference as far as the radius arm brackets are concerned....

but since ya ordered the other springs allready.....good luck:icon_thumby:

You got a Supercab there... be prepared to use a pretty good stack of washers under those SJ springs (I would've bought the SJ 6" springs (pt# 136), they come up to 4.5" lift on Supercab trucks, and would've worked perfectly on that). Then you'd just need the bigger pitman arm to put the steering to where it's supposed to be.

Hm thats odd. I believe they are already the skyjacker 6" springs. I don't know of another spring that would be red and as tall as the one I got. Ill just have to mess with it. I also got some 3inch duff leaves from a buddy at work, so hopefully I can ditch the blocks in the back. I would rather be lower, and cut fenders for tires if I have to.
