Need some suspension advice...

I think I asked in another post of yours, is it possible the springs were black, then painted red, then black again?

FWIW, this is mine with the SJ 6" coils #136:

Mine's not a Supercab even, although it does have the winch and two huge batteries under the hood which kindof makes up for that. The axle is in the 4" holes and the camber bushings are almost dead set on 0°.

Its possible, Im not sure. The new springs free length are almost exactly 2 inches shorter. I got home from work today and they were already on my door step, so I through them on. Everything with the front end geometry looks so much better, the steering is even nearly flat or horizontal again. Of course, now the tires are tilted in the opposite direction, so Im gonna take it back to the alignment shop tomorrow. I have a feeling they will be able to get it aligned now :) Now I just to ditch the blocks in the rear and get those new leafs in...

Well the alignment shop screwed me on saturday and weren't able to get it done. So they kept it to do it today....and they STILL cant align it. What the hell. This truck is not lifted very high, sitting on brand new 4 inch skyjacker springs. The guy talked to me for a bit saying it could be this or that pointing at bushings, but none of them even look warn. Not sure what I'm going to do now, the tires went from \-/ to /-\ and now back to \-/. It seems like if its been at both extremes, that they could could freakin find the middle...

Put some large washers under the coil seats then until you find some middle ground there.
Also, get the SJ FA600 pitman arm if you haven't already. Even at 4" lift it's still much better than the "normal" arms that are only dropped 2" from stock (the FA600 arm is infact a true 4" drop arm).

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, but that pitman arm is $240?!? My steering is damn near straight with the normal drop arm and the new coils, so I'm going to keep it. I took apart half of the front end today and decided to just kind of go through everything. The wheel bearings didn't feel tight at all, so those are getting re-done. While I'm in there, mise well throw some manual hubs on and any bushings that look worn. Hopefully after all this and taking the truck to a more competent alignment shop I will be able to drive this damn truck again :p

Have you put any spacers or washers under the 4" coils to bring it back up a tad?

What I would probably do is get everything all back together & aligned and drive it around some and see if the handling feels acceptable to you. For a majority of people the small 2" misalignment that's common with standard pitman arms on a 4" lift isn't enough to really be noticeable. This way you'll know better if you really need the bigger arm or not.

Good luck on it, and post back if you got anymore questions :icon_thumby:

P.S., you might try TRS Fab right here for that arm. I think it's closer to $180-200 if you end up deciding it's still not quite right.

Well, I tore the front end completely apart again and replaced the axle pivot bushings, radius arm bushings, and got the wheel bearings back in order. They were finally able to align it! Then I had them mount and balance my (new to me) 33 inch claws. They fit, but rub if I hit a bump while turning :icon_twisted: Out of the 5 that I bought with pretty good tread used, 1 wouldn't hold air period (sidewall wound) and one goes flat in like 2 days :bawling: They also vibrate bad above 50, so I guess they weren't able to balance them very well. Shoulda known with my luck so far. I'm probably just going to get some new tires. This "budget" built is turning into the opposite. Lesson learned I guess... On another positive note, the truck looks bad ass... wish it just drove like it was too! :D On deck, once I figure out the tires, is gears, one piece drive shaft, swapping the blocks with the leafs I picked up, and trimming the front fenders.
