Ok so I want to do a sas on my 88. I wont be able to start on it probably for about 4 or 5 months. I'm not sure if I want to do a dana 44 or 60. And at that which 44 and which 60. I'm wanting to be able to plow snow but also go down the trails and have flex. Are there air bags I can use on the front coils so when I plow it can support the weight? Also if I do the front end up I will be doing a matching rear axle ( dana 44 front 9 inch rear or dana 60 front and 10.25 rear) I only have a 2.9 at the time but I'm wanting to do a 4.0 swap. I hope to be running 35s so what would be good gear ratios with those motors? And I know dana 60 is kind of crazy but to me its just extra insurance. The rear suspension I'm not too worried about I will put airbags in the back for towing so I'm not worried about flex. Also what are some opinions on the front as far as coils vs leafs. this isn't too important at this time but id like to have a plan. Sorry for the length and thanks in advance

I'd say you sound like the right candidate to go straight to 60s. Your gut tells you to do so a little already, and with snow plowing involved, sounds like 365 days a year this truck will see some wear and tear. So just go straight to 60s.

Thanks!!!!! I was waiting for a reply on this. Now I know what to start looking for. I've decided on 5:13 ratios since I plan on 35s
