So on my truck I swapped, 2000 ranger with a 99 explorer harness and computer, but with a t5, twisted wedge heads and anderson cam
Codes are P1702,P1000 and P0708
I sold the truck and the dude had it tuned.. it runs perfect EXCEPT every time he comes to a stop the truck dies. Any idea? I'm just trying to help him out.. he's done replaced the maf and iac valve...

Will any of those codes cause a stalling issue?

Hopefully the guy you sold the Ranger to will join TRS soon and figure it out himself. Me personally, IF I sold a truck, all of it's problems get sold with the truck.

Same thing happened to my truck after I had it tuned. The tuner told me if it stalls just before u stop.then I should open up the air adjuster on throttle body a tad.Hasn t stalled on me since. Tell him to Give that a try see if that helps.

P1702 and P0708 are trans range switch codes… that’s what happens when you use an auto computer with a manual trans and the tuner doesn’t do his job correctly.

P1000 is OBD monitors not ready.

It's not a problem. It's bugs that have to get worked out. I don't mind trying to help the guy.

Yes I know that. The automatic functions was suppose to be deleted on the tune. I just asked if those codes would cause it to die.

Fixed it! That's exactly what it was. Idle hangs up around 2000 when you stop then comes right back down to normal. So He can fine tune the tune and be good. Appreciate it bro!
