Need some help with my ‘94

I don't know if you're interested, but LMC Trucks carries a replacement headliner made of black ABS plastic. I think it even has speakers, or just the preformed spaces for mounting 4 speakers. It might be worth looking into.
oh awesome thank you for the info my freind!!

also i have another question... do you think a set of 27x8.5x14 would fit on my STOCK RIDE height Ranger XLT? or do you think i would have rubbing issues?

i just did some looking around on my truck and it seems that i have 3:55 gearing in the struck as stock.

its got the 4.0 in it. and its 2WD.

do i need to upgrade my gearing if i decide that i was to run 27 X 8.5 X 14 tires on it?

you may not “need” to but Id recommend it. 3.73’s play nice with a 4.0 and was a stock gearing setup on my (former) ‘93 4.0 4x4 with 235/75/15 tires (29”)

What was your original (OEM) tire size? 27" isn't very big.

im currently running stock wheels and tires..
my tires are 225/70/14

i dont have the cash riht now for suspension but i would like to get a nice beefy ass tire on there

your best bet is to step up to 15”s, theres a lot more to find in that size.

So your original tires had a diameter of 26.4 inches. Going to a 27" diameter tire is a negligible difference as far as fitment. In other words, they'll fit.

So is it going to look stupid with that size tire on there?.. it just seems like I have a lot of room for bigger tires

I run 33s on my truck with a 4" lift, 3.73 gears with a stock 4.0L & 5 speed standard. I haven't had any problems with highway or city driving. It has more than enough power for me, on or off road.

I want to do a 4” lift on my Ranger later this year.. funds are tight right now so I was just gonna do some big beefy tires and fix some small issues.. I have the 3:55 gearing in it stock.
It’s a 4.0 but it’s also an automatic

In the future I probably will.. but I love these wheels and would like to make them work lol
I see that you have the deer hoof wheels, they do make those in 15 inch as well. My Ranger came stock with them. they do look nice :) see pic. the tires are 31", came from the factory stock with 31" tires

On my '94 with stock suspension, 4x4, 4.0L, auto, 3.73.gears, and 15-inch stock deer hoofs (as shown above in 97rangerXLT's shot) I can run 31s with no issues as far as fitment. Current tires are Goodyear Wranglers (from way back, can't even remember when I bought them) P236/75R15s.

As Eric said, 27" isn't a big increase so your wheel wel is still gonna look a little sparse. And racsan is right about moving up to 15s. I would advise that as well when funds are available. Steelies aren't that expensive and can be made to look pretty good. But I know the feeling. I'm dying to put bigger tires on mine and I'm trying to reign in my impulse until I have the cash to do it right.

If you have any photoshop skills, take some shots with what you have and what you want and see what it looks like. If you want, I'd be happy to do that for you.
