recently my blinkers and hazards stopped working all together. swapped in known working flasher relays (i have 2 '94 rangers)
swapped in a known working multifunction switch
dont see any popped fuses??

cant seem to figure it out. if theres any wiring gurus that can help me trace power through the multifunction switch connectors and so on please chime in! i did notice that one of my plugs on the multi function switch was melted a big because one of the wires had pulled out a little. just replaced that pig tale
the wire that had pulled out was wire 15 on the below picture (head lamp feed)

From experience .... never assume a fuse is good .... take them out and test them... or swap in a good one to be 100% sure .... do you have brake lights?

im testing the tops of the fuses with a multi meter to be sure...all is well.
i do have brake lights and rear running lights. also have corner marker lights in the front when i turn the headlights on so they are getting power to those bulbs forsure.
not sure how to check the pins for the flasher relays for power if someone can tell me what to do there to narrow it down

@JOLENE_THE_RANGER ,
Anytime I face this issue, that being replacement bulbs and fuse do not cure the issue, I simply build and install fresh wiring for the system.

It is much less expensive than expected using the new underground rated wiring from Lowes (hardware shoppe). My trucks are old enough (both 87's) that installing a wiring upgrade is due and welcomed. Once installed, the lights have choice in the matter, they MUST power up.

If you chose this route, I have to suggest going a step further, if time and budget permit and rewire the headlights too, using a battery direct powered wired network, controlled by the stock switch via relays. A little more time and money but in some of these 20-30+ year old rigs, arguably a money saving preventive maintenance measure.

I would check for power to the MFS from the turn flasher... even power to the turn flasher. If that is good... and the turn signal switch works... the next thing you need is the bulb load. Any break in the left and right signal circuits will leave you inop. I would probably disconnect the rear lamp harness and check for continuity on the turn signal circuits back to the multifunction switch.

Wiggle the hazard switch back and forth I just had this problem and so did someone else. Turn signals run thru there you can have situation where nothing (hazards nor turns) work or one side works etc. Wiggle it back and forth and up/down see if it changes it. might not be your problem but seems common. Hazard switch is exposed at the top crap can probably get in there also if it wasn't used in a long time maybe. RonD posted wiring diagram.

id love to do this type of problem solving, just need to know which wires to check if you have any insight on that

Pull the turn flasher... key on... one of the terminals should have key on power. If you have it... cavity J... o/y wire should have same key on power through the flasher to the MFS.

If power is to the MFS... cavity F and H should have 12 volts with left turn active. Cavities K and M should have 12 volts with right turn active.

If no power in either of those tests... bas MFS.

If you have power in those tests then it's in the wiring out to the bulbs.

check the grounds at each of the blinkers. Think what is common for both the blinker and flasher ckts.

I always look for single points of failure...

Turn signals and hazard flashers have seperate power sources. Front and rear signals have separate grounds.

The MFS itself would be a single point. Also C269 is also a good single point.

ill check all of the above and get back to you guys.
while youre here... my wind sheild wipers do not turn off. seems like theyre set to the slowest setting at all times. if i increase wiper speed via the wiper switch on the blinker lever the speed will increase... but will not fully turn off

ideas?!

That could be a sign that the multifunction switch is failing. At least I think you era of truck has one. If it does, I would look there. It might also be why your having a light issue being it's all in the same housing. At least they are in my 2011 and was in the 1998.
