I Have a 92 Ford Ranger 4X1 That i want to lift and put a set of 30 X 9.50 15 on it. The Truck is completely stock plus it has 14" rims. Would it be waisting my money to lift the 92 or try to fix my dads old 87 Ford Ranger 4X4 . It Has A blown motor and a trans that is cracked all the way around. So how about some advise.

What are you intensions for the truck-Do you want a trail rig or a mall cruiser? If i were you i would make a trail rig out of the 87 4x4 as cheaplly as possible, then keep the 92 '4X1' as reliable as i could. Then you would have the best of both worlds- a truck you beat on then a truck to pick up the ladys.
Just my $.02 worth.

When you say 4x1, do you mean a 4x2 w/open diff? i dont think ive ever heard it described quite like that

Im in the prosess of putting a dana 35 in the front of the 87. but i still think i want to lift the other truck for the show but money is short right now.

Would 3.73 with l/s work good if i go with the 30X9.50 15's on the 92

I got 3.73's runnin 32's and it has plenty of power, then again i got a 4.0.

With a manual you should be alright.
Bout the best i can tell ya, is to try it and see.

Ill Try it when i get the money then how much yall think i would i would have to lift to fit the tires i was thinking about 2 to 3 in.

Does anyone know a good place to get some 15" rims and what type of tire sould i get. i what an agressive a/t tire. I just got my the 92 out the bog. i hate the little tires now that i got out. i have a/t tire on it too.
