Wondering if anyone can post a picture of their 3.0 coil pack. Im looking at mine and it looks like there was suppose to be a support bracket there or some sort. I will take a picture when I get it back hopefully today.

take picture from passenger side of car facing side of coil pack if anyone could.

thanks

There should be a bracket that goes from the outside of the coilpack down to one of the exhaust manifold bolts. Ill get some pics tomorrow if someone doesnt get them before then.

ya Ill take a pic tomorrow of what I have, just got my truck back from the shop 10minutes ago. Would really appreciate it if you could tho. what you describe sounds like it could be it.
Thanks

Err, umm, I don't know if it's because I haven't made a cash donation yet, or because I'm a bad person :icon_twisted: ... but I don't see an option for UPLOADING PICS...

Guess the custom is to post a LINK to one of the free pic hosting sites... so which one should I use?

Rump, so you think the "pros" jury-rigged your coil pack? Bastiges if they did!

it looks like theres a support bracket that would go from coil pack to exhaust manifol, and on other side from intake to exhaust manifold, but both are missing.. im not 100% sure tho. I use my cardomain site for posting pics.

this week ive been doing both my jobs, next week i wont be so busy, im going to take a few pics and hopefully you guys can help me out. My cousin had said it looked like someone had swapped new heads on there. So im assuming its not all original.

Here's a picture of a 98...

thank you so much wvcat. Thats it, that black bar right there. Im missing that.

is there a bar like that on the other side but to the intake instead of coil pack?

I didn't take a picture of the other side but I don't think so. The newer 3.0's with a plastic intake have one but I don't theink the aluminum ones got one.

And there wasnt anything on the driver side for the intake.

Thanks guys! :icon_thumby:

How important is this support bracket or whatever its called?

You've got me wondering the same thing now, because I don't have one.:icon_rofl: There are two bolts for the coil support on the intake so I honestly don't think that bar is important at all.

ya I couldnt imagine it being too important. though im sure it was originally designed there by a ford engineer for a reason. who knows

I dought its that important, probably just to reduce vibrations
