need help

Give me a shout if you'd like an extra pair of hands with a retard attached to them.

Well, if I can blind swap (never done before with no instructions) a 5.8 with two people who have never done anything more than oil and brakes, I can prolly use just about anyone who is willing.

Sounds like fun. If Dreamer is cool with it, give me a PM of when you were thinking.

Well I'll look into the schedule and see when I might be able to make it.

I'm in the middle of getting sick right now, so might be a few weeks.

I'd rather be the whole way there. This is the painful sore throat style sick.

Time to start guzzling down my anti-sore throat cocktail. Alieve, Clariton, and Earl Grey, just in case it's an infection.

My anti-sore cocktail consists of three things as well.
Vodka...vodka....and vodka.

I just wish they made it in a non drowsy version.

i did the whole dash swap and steering colume it wasnt that bad, i love ithe new founded power i was way worth it

Hey guys just finished a 4.0 swap on an 88 BII without changing the dash. I only had to splice/rewire less than 10 wires(I think it was more like 5)to get it running. Like 2 days after getting it running I struck out up to your neck of the woods Reynoldsville Pa. area in it and had no problems whatsoever. I have the EVTM for the 88 BII and a 91 Explorer. Made life a ton easier, don't know(might have missed it in his post) what year of donor he has used but I would bet it should be close enough. Let me know how I can help. I still have my notes I made too. Biggest thing is to get switched power from key to the EEC relay switched power terminal. If the rest of the donor harness is intact that will power everything else once the fuel pumps are wired into the new harness.

my swap was the same way, i think i spliced 6 or 8 wires. i used an evtm for my truck and the donor, and kept my 1st gen dash.i cut up the old engine harness and used some heat seal crimp connectors. i may still have some of my wiring info if you need it....

Dreamer, empty your PM inbox.
