Hello all,

I am new here and need help. Any information is appreciated!

So, I got a hole in my fuel line (from fuel pump to fuel filter). To replace it I took a risk and cut a hole through the floor in my trunk to get an easy access hole to my fuel pump. It was going to be a simple fix, but in the process of cutting this hole I cut straight through a DIFFERENT gas line. Pictured, at the top you can see where I cut through the wire. I followed the wire, and it seems to go straight passed the fuel filter and to the engine.

I was wondering if anyone knew what this line is for? Where can I find what it connects to? It is hard to follow too far beyond the fuel filter, but I should be able to find it if no one is able to respond on here, just figured I'd ask to make it easier. Lastly, is there a certain store or website that I should purchase the new lines from?

I am considering changing the fuel filter and maybe fuel pump while I am at it, so if there is anything else that is relatively simple that I could try to do please let me know!

The line you cut through is the fuel return line.

The line with the rubber hose is the supply line.

I can tell by looking at the push in fuel line connectors that both of those lines have been replaced with Dorman parts already.

Thank you.

Any idea how to find these parts? I cannot find them anywhere, including Dorman website.

Awesome , thank you! I have gathered that it is more of a repair the line job than replace the line. Do you think I need a kit or would be alright with some unions and what not?

See my reply on the other thread, and here for example:

You could do a patch up job...

I think it would be better to replace the entire supply line between tank and filter.

The line that was cut... a repair union would connect them back together.

The return line has no pressure. I would find a barbed fitting of the right size, and use hose clamps to feel better.
